I couldn't see anything as I ran to my bedroom and jumped on my bed (my sister was dead to the world, snoring away to glory and didn't bother to wake up inspite of my melodramatic entrance) I couldn't see anything because my vision was blurred with my tears fast flowing from my eyes onto my cheeks. How?? How could it happen with the man I loved all my life? It was turning out to be a perfect night...But within minutes EVERYTHING changed...How? Was he as bad as the world thought him to be? No, I said firmly to myself. I will support him even if the world doesn't.
My cellphone beeped. It was a message. My friend taunted me. Her man was better than my man, she mocked. At least he was loyal to her. Her every wish was his command and he obliged. I was fuming. I threw my phone next to my pillow (and thank God I didn't hit my sister with the phone) and I tossed and turned, furious and angry. My ego was hurt. It wasn't his fault, I later realized. Her man and my man couldn't be compared, dammit. Tears still stung my face. I got up and slept on the floor. But I still couldn't sleep. My sister's snores couldn't disturb my thought process. Maybe my man can win one over her man...Or maybe over some of the other guys who had spoilt his dream world in the past. Maybe. I got up and jumped back onto bed and lay upside down. My eyes slowly closed and I drifted off to sleep. I hardly got sleep when my sister was up and about at 7 in the morning. Since I was lying upside down, our dear sun fell right on my face and refused to let me sleep in peace. My sister's friend arrived at, what, 8:30 in the morning (who the hell travels for an hour, early in the morning and comes to go for a movie, first day first show because the rates are cheaper for the morning show!!!!!) and soon I heard my mom's fake laugh ring through the house as my sister and her friend giggled about something.
Mom finally came to my den and she gave a bright smile. I glared and scowled at her."I thought you were supporting Kolkata Knight Riders?" Mom gave an obviously bright smile and taunted.I merely grunted."Superb match." she said evilly."I saw it, not you." I retorted.Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 5 runs.Ganguly defeated Dravid. My friend had the last laugh, not to forget my mom, too.
